Successfully Navigating the Federal Courts
The lawyers of Holstein Law Group have extensive experience trying cases in federal court. But our interest and involvement in federal court matters are not limited to the courtroom.
Linda Holstein has been an active, high-profile member of the Federal Bar Association, the professional organization for lawyers and judges involved in federal practice. Linda is a past president of the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and a former national vice-president.
Holstein Law Group recently represented GEICO Insurance Co. as defense co-counsel in a Section 1981 race case, Amos, et al. v. Geico Corporation, et al., venued in the District of Minnesota before Judge Patrick A. Schiltz. Holstein Law Group, along with Arnold & Porter, successfully fought Plaintiff’s motion for class certification, which the Court denied. Ms. Holstein has won successful jury verdicts in employment cases before the Honorable David S. Doty (D. Minn.), the Honorable Michael J. Davis(Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court of Minnesota), and the Honorable Robert Renner (D. Minn.). She has successfully obtained injunctive relief in civil matters before the former Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court of Minnesota, the Honorable James M. Rosenbaum, as well as before former U.S. District Court Judge (and current 8th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge) Diana E. Murphy. Ms. Holstein has obtained favorable summary judgment rulings in employment case before the Honorable Ann Montgomery, the Honorable James Rosenbaum, the Honorable David Doty, and the Honorable Paul Magnuson.
